| We got Woody from a breeder near Syracuse, New York. He was 6 pounds (August 6th). As on February 4, 2010 he was 17.3 pounds. He is a fourth generation Lhasa .Woody is a Lhasa Apso, the breed is originally from Tibet. They are classified as the non sporting breed by the American Kennel Club. Lhasa is the capital city of Tibet and apso is a word in the Tibetan language meaning "bearded". Lhasas are also know as the Lion Dog. In Tibet they were the Palace Gaurd Dog. Woody was born on May 20, 2009. He is a local celebrity in the South Street Seaport in New York. Woody is currently enrolled in Puppy School at PortChester Obedience Training Club in White Plains. |
